Mission Statement

Increase student knowledge in career clusters by using a wide variety of instructional strategies to enhance student future employment opportunities.

Career and Technical Education, or CTE, in Carter County refers to the rigorous academic, technical, and employability skills or content that is taught through career focused standards and courses in grades 9-12 which prepare learners for advanced education, training, and employment in aligned occupations and careers. Students select a program of study or career pathway based on their interest designed to lay a strong foundation and prepare students to enter into the aligned career field for employment or they progress into a postsecondary program for advanced training.
